- Write a compelling bio that highlights your personality, values, and what you are looking for in a partner.
- Optionally add your birth details for AstroMatch compatibility scoring.
Profiles with at least 4 photos and a bio over 100 words receive 3 times more interest requests than incomplete profiles.

IndianMarriage.com uses a dual matching system combining traditional and modern compatibility assessment.
ModernMatch Score
Our AI analyses lifestyle preferences, personality traits, career goals, family values, and communication patterns to generate a compatibility percentage. Higher scores indicate stronger alignment on key life dimensions.
AstroMatch Score
Based on Vedic astrology principles, this score evaluates Guna Milan (36-point matching), Manglik status, and planetary positions. Both partners need birth details on file for this score to appear.
Combined Score
The overall match score blends both systems. You can adjust the weighting between modern and astrological factors in your preferences to reflect what matters most to you.
Do not dismiss matches with moderate scores. Many successful couples on our platform started with scores between 60 and 75 percent and found deeper compatibility through conversation.
Sending & Receiving Interests
Expressing interest is the first step toward connecting with a potential match.
Sending an Interest
Click the heart icon on any profile to send an interest. You can add a personalised message to make your request stand out. Free members can send a limited number of interests per month while premium members enjoy unlimited sends.
Receiving Interests
When someone expresses interest in you, you will receive a notification via email and in-app alert. Visit your Interests inbox to review the profile and choose to accept, decline, or shortlist for later.
Mutual Matches
When both parties accept, it becomes a mutual match. You can then start messaging, share contact details, and schedule a video or in-person meeting.
Scheduling Meetings
After a mutual match, the next step is getting to know each other through a meeting.
Video Calls
Use our built-in video calling feature for a safe, convenient first meeting. No need to share personal phone numbers until you are comfortable. Calls are private and not recorded.
In-Person Meetups
When you are ready to meet in person, use the meeting scheduler to suggest a date, time, and venue. The platform recommends safe public locations and can send reminders to both parties.
Family Introduction
Our family introduction coordinator helps arrange a formal meeting between both families when the time is right. This includes agenda suggestions and follow-up tools.

Adding Birth Details
Navigate to your profile settings and enter your date, time, and place of birth. The more accurate your birth time, the more precise your kundali and compatibility analysis will be.
Viewing Compatibility Reports
Once both profiles have birth details, click "View AstroMatch" on any match card to see the detailed Guna Milan report, Manglik analysis, and Dasha period compatibility.
Consulting an Astrologer
Premium members can book a session with one of our verified Vedic astrologers for personalised guidance on specific matches or general marriage timing.
Privacy Settings
Your privacy is paramount. IndianMarriage.com gives you full control over who sees your information.
Profile Visibility
Choose from public (visible to all members), filtered (visible only to profiles matching your preferences), or private (only you can initiate contact) modes.
Photo Privacy
You can choose to show photos only to members you have accepted or shortlisted. A blurred placeholder is shown to others with a request to view option.
Contact Information
Phone numbers and email addresses are never shown on your profile. Contact details are shared only after mutual acceptance and can be revoked at any time.
Blocking and Reporting
Block any user instantly from their profile page. Report suspicious behaviour using the report button and our trust and safety team will investigate within 24 hours.
